Clear Answers Before
We Get Started.
Asking for help with your books should not create more uncertainty. Here are straightforward answers about my services, process, pricing, and what you can expect when we work together.
Start where you are.
You do not need to understand everything about your books before contacting a bookkeeper. We can start with what you know, look at what needs attention, and determine the best way forward.
Explore Services & PricingWho do you typically work with?
I provide bookkeeping support for nonprofits, churches, small businesses, home service businesses, and professional service providers. I work especially well with organizations that value accuracy, responsible stewardship, dependable communication, and practical support.
If you are not sure whether your organization fits neatly into one of those categories, that does not necessarily mean we are not a good fit. A discovery call is an easy way for us to talk through what you need.
Where are you located?
Nicole Locker Bookkeeping is based in Lubbock, Texas. Because bookkeeping can be handled securely and efficiently online, I can also work virtually with clients anywhere within the United States.
How is my monthly bookkeeping price determined?
Pricing is based on the actual scope of your bookkeeping, including monthly transaction volume, the number of bank and credit card accounts, financial complexity, any additional services you need, and whether prior months require cleanup.
You can use the pricing estimator on my Services page for a preliminary estimate. Your final monthly fee will be confirmed after I learn more about your books during the discovery and assessment process.

That is exactly the kind of situation cleanup bookkeeping is designed to address. I can review the current condition of your records, identify what needs attention, and recommend a plan for getting things back in order before ongoing monthly bookkeeping begins.
Cleanup services are priced separately because every situation is different. The cost will depend on how many months require attention, the condition of the records, and the amount of work needed to correct them.
What if I am embarrassed about the condition of my books?
Please do not let embarrassment keep you from asking for help. You do not need perfectly organized books before contacting me, and you do not need to clean everything up first. That may be the very reason you need a bookkeeper.
My job is not to judge how things got behind. My job is to understand what is there, identify what needs to be addressed, and help you move toward accurate, organized, dependable books. We start where you are.
How quickly can we get started?
The first step is a complimentary discovery call so I can learn about your needs and determine whether my services are a good fit. If we decide to work together, I will provide a service agreement, explain the onboarding process, and let you know exactly what I need from you to begin.
Your starting timeline will depend on current availability, the condition of your books, the services you need, and how quickly the necessary records and account access can be provided.
Is there a long-term commitment?
Monthly bookkeeping services are ongoing, but you are not locked into an indefinite contract. The terms of your service arrangement, including notice and cancellation requirements, are clearly stated in your service agreement so you can review them before work begins.
When do I pay you?
Monthly bookkeeping services are billed in advance at the beginning of each service period. One-time setup or cleanup fees are due before that work begins.
Your payment schedule and all applicable fees will be clearly outlined in your service agreement so you know what to expect before we get started.
Dependable support without losing control of your books.
My role is to take bookkeeping work off your plate while keeping you informed and connected to your financial information. Clear processes, communication, and expectations help us work well together.
What will you need from me each month?
Your specific responsibilities will depend on the services you select. In general, I may need access to account statements, receipts or supporting documents, payroll information when applicable, and answers to questions about unfamiliar transactions.
Providing complete information and responding promptly to questions helps me keep your books accurate and current. During onboarding, we will establish a clear process so you know what I need, when I need it, and how to provide it.
How will we communicate and share documents?
We will establish a consistent communication process during onboarding, including how documents should be submitted and where bookkeeping questions will be addressed. Whenever possible, financial information will be exchanged through secure, organized digital systems rather than scattered messages or paper records.
How do you protect my financial information?
Financial information is handled with care, discretion, and respect. I use secure systems and appropriate access controls when working with client records and request only the access necessary to perform the services we have agreed upon.
Your information is not shared with outside parties unless you authorize it or disclosure is required by law.
Will I still have access to my financial information?
Absolutely. Your financial records belong to you. Hiring a bookkeeper means getting help with the work, not giving up visibility or control. My role is to organize and maintain your records so you have clearer, more dependable information when you need it.
Will you work with my tax professional?
Yes. With your authorization, I can coordinate with your CPA or tax professional by providing organized financial reports and responding to bookkeeping-related questions. Accurate, current records can make year-end and tax preparation much smoother.
Do you provide payroll or tax services?
Payroll support is considered on a case-by-case basis for eligible monthly bookkeeping clients. Availability will depend on your needs, the payroll system being used, and the scope of support required.
I do not prepare income tax returns or provide legal or tax advice. I can maintain organized, accurate books and coordinate with your tax professional so they have the financial information needed to provide those services.
Do I need to be a Christian to work with you?
No. My Christian faith shapes the values I bring to my work, including integrity, stewardship, service, honesty, and respect, but clients do not need to share my faith to work with me.
I also offer monthly bookkeeping clients an optional Monday morning prayer call and welcome prayer requests from clients who would like to share them. Participation is entirely optional and is never a condition of service. Every client receives the same thoughtful, professional care.
What makes your approach different?
I am a problem solver by nature. I do not want to simply record transactions or correct the same problems month after month. I want to understand what is happening, identify what needs attention, and put practical systems in place that make your financial records easier to maintain and understand.
I bring nearly two decades of leadership, operations, accountability, and financial oversight experience to that work. My approach combines bookkeeping knowledge with practical problem-solving, clear communication, forethought, and genuine service.
The goal is simple: accurate books, dependable systems, and one less important responsibility for you to carry alone.
You do not have to figure out the books before asking for help.
Schedule a complimentary discovery call. Tell me what is going on, what is weighing on you, and what you need help with. We can figure out the next step from there.
