Can you help me track profitability by job?
QuickBooks Online can be structured to track certain income and expenses by customer or project, which can provide useful information about individual jobs. The appropriate level of detail depends on your business, QuickBooks subscription, payroll processes, and other systems you use.
My QuickBooks is months behind. Do I need to fix it first?
No. Cleanup and catch-up bookkeeping exists specifically for businesses whose books have fallen behind or become difficult to trust. We’ll first determine what needs attention and develop a plan for bringing the books current.
Do you handle 1099s for subcontractors?
1099 preparation is available as part of year-end bookkeeping support when appropriate. Good preparation begins throughout the year by keeping vendor records and applicable payments organized.
Can you manage my accounts payable and accounts receivable?
Accounts payable and accounts receivable coordination can be added to bookkeeping services depending on the needs of your business and the agreed scope of service.
Do you provide payroll?
Payroll is not currently offered as a standard standalone service. I can maintain bookkeeping records that appropriately reflect payroll activity generated by your payroll provider and coordinate that information with the rest of your books.
Do you prepare business tax returns?
No. Nicole Locker Bookkeeping provides bookkeeping and year-end preparation but does not prepare or file income tax returns or provide tax advice. I can work with your CPA or tax professional to provide organized financial records and supporting bookkeeping information.
Can you help with equipment and vehicle purchases?
Yes, from a bookkeeping perspective. I can help ensure equipment and vehicle purchases and related financing are properly reflected in the books based on available documentation. Your CPA or tax professional should determine depreciation and other tax elections.
