Nonprofit/Church Bookkeeping

Bookkeeping for Nonprofits & Churches

Nonprofit Bookkeeping for Lubbock & West Texas

Your mission deserves your attention. Your books deserve dependable care.

Nicole Locker Bookkeeping helps nonprofits and churches in Lubbock and across West Texas keep their QuickBooks records accurate, organized, and useful, so leadership can spend less time untangling transactions and more time serving the community.

Good Stewardship Starts With Clear Records

Every Dollar Has a Purpose. Your Books Should Help You Follow It.

Your organization needs to understand what came in, where it went, and what resources are available for the work ahead. When records are incomplete or accounts aren’t reconciled, those straightforward questions become harder to answer.

Dependable nonprofit bookkeeping brings donations, expenses, account activity, and supporting documents together into financial information your leadership can use.

The goal is to help you account for the resources entrusted to your organization and keep the financial side of your mission organized.

The people carrying the mission need financial information they can understand and trust.

Bookkeeping Built Around Your Organization

Organized Records Behind the Work You Do

Nonprofits and churches need records that reflect how their organizations operate. We’ll agree on the categories, documentation, and reporting your bookkeeping should support.

01

Donations & Contributions

Keep contributions and deposits organized in QuickBooks using the records your organization provides. We’ll clarify how bookkeeping connects with any separate donation or donor-management system.

02

Program & Operating Expenses

Use consistent categories to help leadership follow spending across the organization’s activities, based on the structure and documentation we establish together.

03

Restricted Funds & Designated Gifts

Discuss how your organization identifies gifts with specific purposes and what bookkeeping detail is needed. Any tracking will follow documented guidance and the scope agreed with leadership and your CPA.

04

Grant Activity

Review the bookkeeping records needed for grant-related income and expenses. We’ll determine whether your tracking needs fit the engagement and clarify any reporting responsibilities before work begins.

05

Account Reconciliations

Reconcile bank and credit-card accounts, investigate discrepancies, and identify missing documentation so the books reflect the activity behind the balances.

06

Board & Leadership Reporting

Provide organized financial reports and agree on a reporting schedule that helps your treasurer, staff, and board review the organization’s financial activity.

Does This Sound Familiar?

When the Mission Comes First, the Books Can Fall Behind

Staff and volunteers already carry a full workload. Bookkeeping can quietly become another responsibility waiting for someone to find the time.

  • Your bank or credit-card accounts haven’t been reconciled recently.
  • Leadership receives reports but isn’t sure the numbers are current.
  • Receipts, statements, and donation records are scattered across systems.
  • A treasurer or volunteer transition has left gaps in the process.
  • Income and expenses aren’t categorized consistently.
  • Questions about specific gifts or program spending take too long to answer.
  • Year-end preparation means reconstructing months of activity.
  • Bookkeeping keeps taking time away from the work your organization exists to do.

You don’t need to clean everything up before asking for help. We can start with where your books are today.
